Tales from the Steppes

I am so happy! Doing a little (invisible) dance around my cubicle. My older sister is moving back from Belgium next month! Woohoooo! I am really looking forward to having her around again.

This means that my nephews, the Huns, are coming back as well. The elder Hun, (EH) is 6 months older than the EM and the younger Hun (YH) is a month younger than the YM. It works out really well because the MM is mature, he and the EH are on about the same level. The short version of the EH's story is that he was terribly sick as a small child, had a liver transplant, and will never quite catch up with kids his own age. So the EM has far outstripped him in many ways. Which makes no difference at all to either of them, because he is an icky boy.

The YM does get left out of the boy pack a little, as he is not quite in step with the rest of them. The YH loves the MM and always wants to be with him, not the YM. But perhaps that will have changed with the YM's getting a bit more socialized at school. Of course, I like him just fine the wacky way that he is but I do know that other children, boys in particular, are not always so appreciative.

But now, off to deal with this internal investigation, brought to you by Citizens With Pitchforks. They care, so you don't have to.
