Ohmygod ohmygod, did the Washington Post actually have a positive comment about staff?

"Several people said they found the maligned Planning Board staff to be responsive and helpful."

No, I guess they really didn't. They just reported that several people in the community don't think we suck too badly. *Sigh* I know that many of the people that I have helped have been grateful. Apparently the people upstairs have figured out that we have a morale problem and have upgraded our usual holiday party. Instead of having it at Brookside Garden, a Commission facility, with a lame theme, last years was "A Mardi Gras Christmas", they are having it at the AFI. Lunch and the movie "March of the Penguins." Umm, yeah. I "forgot" to RSVP and will probably not go. The MM has a strange school function - a wax museum of fictional characters, with each child acting out a character, complete with costume. Strangely more compelling than a box lunch, complete with cookie.
