Note to self - When the power goes off, this is not the time to paint your toenails. You're not very good at it to begin with and holding a flashlight between your chin and shoulder does not make you any better. Besides, you cannot see the color of your new polish until morning and then you will see that not only is the color quite lurid but your lack of skill has left your toes looking like you were juggling knives and misssed. And then you will find out that your daughter has used up all of the nail polish remover. So now you have a choice, because you were not bright enough to just wear shoes dammit, to either leave your office and find a store that sells nail polish remover before the Hour of Presentability or hope that no one looks at your feet.
